- Information Requested
I'm looking to find out the number of SAS staff under 20 years old, that have been engaged in frontline work over the past 5 years. Could we have a breakdown of each year from 2020 to 2025 please? Additionally, I would also like to request to know how many SAS staff under 20 have been registered as signed off sick due to mental health issues including PTSD, stress, anxiety and depression over the past 5 years. Could we have a breakdown of each year from 2020 to 2025 please?
- Response
In the past five years the Scottish Ambulance Service has employed <5 frontline staff under the age of 20 years old. Any further breakdown of this information could result in the staff becoming identifiable.
The Scottish Ambulance service has a duty, under the Data Protection Act to avoid directly or indirectly revealing any personal details.
Information on staff sickness is not held in a way that allows us to report on age-groups within absence reasons. It is for this reason we have applied section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 as information not held.
