- What is the pay banding for ambulance care assistants?
- Do ambulance care assistant work Christmas day and boxing day?
- What are the core days and times that patient transport is provided and are there any dates or times when it is not?
- Please provide an example roster for an ambulance care assistant working in West Lothian for December 2024 and January 2025

Category C1
What is the pay banding for ambulance care assistants?
Band 3
Do ambulance care assistant work Christmas day and boxing day? Yes, although there will be a reduced level of resources required on these dates.
What are the core days and times that patient transport is provided and are there any dates or times when it is not?
This is variable but the national service is provided 7 days per week, between the hours of 0600 and 0000, this may differ in each sub-region of the Scottish Ambulance Service.Please see attached a copy of an example roster for a care assistant in West Lothian. There are no weekend rosters currently running in West Lothian or for the time period requested.
