 1. Are there any other devices that are used to contain and transport people with infectious diseases the UK by the NHS?  

  1. How are these devices distributed? Hospitals versus ambulance services? 
  2. How many devices have been purchased within the last seven years? 
  3. What has the cost been to the NHS in purchasing these devices? E.g. Trexler and EpiShuttle
  4. How often Have the isolation devices been used in the last 3 years? 
  5. How many cases of HCID have there been in the last three years where isolation devices have been used? 
  6. Do the devices require consumable items and how much has been spent on them in last three years?

  1. Are there any other devices that are used to contain and transport people with infectious diseases the UK by the NHS? - The Scottish Ambulance Service does not utilise any devices to contain or transport people with infectious diseases. 
  1. How are these devices distributed? Hospitals versus ambulance services? - The Scottish Ambulance Service does not hold this information. 
  1. How many devices have been purchased within the last seven years? - 8 Epishuttles have been purchased in the last 8 years. 
  1. What has the cost been to the NHS in purchasing these devices? E.g. Trexler and EpiShuttle - £544,000 
  1. How often Have the isolation devices been used in the last 3 years? - Never in Scotland 
  1. How many cases of HCID have there been in the last three years where isolation devices have been used? - None in Scotland. 
  1. Do the devices require consumable items and how much has been spent on them in last three years? - There has been zero cost in the last three years.
