The Restart a Heart campaign starts on 16 October, a  lifesaving initiative aiming to help save more lives across Scotland by teaching people vital resuscitation skills which can be used if someone goes into cardiac arrest.

Over 3,000 people in Scotland have an out of hospital cardiac arrest every year and every second counts. The public can help by dialling 999, starting CPR – or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - and using a defibrillator it can help save lives.

Hoax calls to the Scottish Ambulance Service

The Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) has received more than 200 malicious hoax calls so far this year.
