First Responder thanks Dundee crew after stroke
Wonderful effort from Paramedic Lauren Kohler and Technician Toby Tee, of Dundee Station who attended to Dave Rae after he had a stroke.
Dave, of Dundee, is a member of the Broughty Ferry and Dundee Community First Responder group.
The 48-year-old said: "When the stroke hit, I knew immediately because of my First Responder training. My wife called 999 and I was met with Lauren and Toby within 10 minutes of the call. I was quickly assessed and raced to Ninewells Hospital.
“Toby and Lauren’s care and my speedy arrival at A&E is the reason I am back home with my wife and daughter. Thank you to the Scottish Ambulance Service and #Ninewells. This is an excellent example of the NHS working as a team."
Thanks to all our CFRs across the country - all are a dedicated and valuable asset to the communities they serve
